Lebanon Power & Apparatus was founded by Robert Clark in 1963 in Lebanon, Kentucky. After being honorably discharged from the US Navy Submarine Service, Bob began working for GE Apparatus Services as an electromechanical technician. After 8 years with GE, he moved back to Lebanon, KY and opened the doors to Lebanon Power & Apparatus. In 1990, to better serve customers, Lebanon Power & Apparatus opened the doors to a second location in Bowling Green, KY under the name Covington Electric. In 2000 Bob retired turning the business over to his children who still run the company today. The third generation of the family is currently taking leadership roles in the day to day operation in order to keep the business a family matter.
In 2015, Lebanon Power & Apparatus invested millions of dollars back in to the company with the largest expansion since opening the doors. The expansion included a new facility with approximately 50,000 sq. feet under roof. This new building along with the Bowling Green location make Lebanon Power & Apparatus one of the largest electromechanical facilities in this region of the US. The expansion also included larger lifting and testing equipment as well as an expansion in the workforce. With this expansion we plan to build on our already successful company for generations to come.
